People need the Lord - Lyrics

Everyday they pass me by
I can see it in their eyes
Empty people filled with care
Headed who knows where
On they go through private pair
Living fear to fear
Laughter hides their silent cries
Only Jesus hears
Chorus:
People need the Lord
People need the Lord
At the end of broken dreams
He's the open door
People need the Lord
People need the Lord
When will they realize
People need the Lord
We are called to take His light
To a world where wrong seems right
What could be too great a cost for
Sharing life with one who's lost
Through His love our hearts can feel
All the grief they bear
They must hear the words of life
Only we can share
People need the Lord
People need the Lord
At the end of broken dreams
He's the open door
People need the Lord
When will they realize
That we must give our lives
For people need the Lord
People need the Lord
People need the Lord

cell group - the Invaders

Some asks me why you want to start another cell group? I've realized this...because Jesus would do the same.

Past few months I set back in leading cell groups; I thought I only needed to spend time equipping my twelve, but I was wrong. God didn't retire me, but did I retire myself to a comfort zone? God calls me to establish cell groups; He never wants me to sit back and relax now. Fight and invade the enermy's line! That's my calling! Forgive me, I was wrong..Lord.

We had our second meeting of the Invaders yesterday, June 22. I have always had fun preparing food for the cell group although it's been a long time since I cooked the last meal for Impact. Food still tasted good. Slowly people started to come in; some ate, some just chilled. Isn't that a nice way to start a cell group? Just food and chill. Food always brings people closer, don't you think?

More people joined, new friends. After sharing, 4 out of 7 new friends accepted Jesus (2 were outside making calls during the altar call, 1 is already a christian). Praise the Lord! People need the Lord!

Last week (the first meeting), we had 1 person accepted Jesus. Lord, keep bringing them to Your Kingdom!

God, hear our cry...bring them to You; help us to disciple the nation. You did great, God!

Good job, JB, JL and RW, thank you for your support. Keep on praying for the Invaders.

what a week...>.<

Dear God,
I am so tired this week...I guess I need to go back to my secret place where I can rest and regain energy. Am I becoming lethargic? God, as we are going through this 14 days prayer and worship; instead of feeling recharging, I feel the opposite. Is it too much of workload from my design studio? Am I slacking off this week? Lord, help..!
what if I lose my design job? Lord...I won't be able to support anything or anyone...would You provide, Lord?

First time, I feel "faith-less" at work and ministry...am I putting too much on my plate?

Sometimes I think You are unfair, Lord...why do I do what I am doing now? I could've gone somewhere else and enjoy my life, right? I doubt at what I am doing is effective at all recently... :(

I miss You, Lord. Come rescue me...~~

"I am a church, rise and build."

Help me to stand here for You.... (crying..)

Gaining personal victory when I am alone with God.

It’s the personal victories in the private place that gives you momentum.

This God you'd come to know in the secret place is the God you'll come to represent in the public place.

201 Christian Value ~~

oh man...I am getting a bit rusty now after talking for 3 hours in 201 class. I hope JJ and Q would understand most of it; it's hard to find radical believers nowadays?! God, revive this generation!

"If there is nothing worth dying for, there isn't anything worth living for!"

"Your passion bursts out of your core value of life." (201 Christian Value)

Are we creating a movement out of passion for Jesus? Or are we creating a passion out of the movement we are currently in? God is the passion!

"Seek His kingdom and righteousness; ALL will be added onto you." (Matthew 6:33)

I can't seem to know why I am staying up so late tonight; I simply can't sleep now...not sure why!? Well...perhaps I'd need to cry myself to sleep; I have this urge inside of me....crying out! Burn with passion...over You!

My Batman costume...!?

My private collection, a Batman costume.
I only wear that on Monday when I am off.... ya..I wish.

I think I took this picture in Boston Copely Center a while ago. I've always loved Batman for some reason, not because of his tight pants for sure. There is something about Batman I like. Maybe it's not the super power he has, but a strong will and determination for saving the world. Batman..ZAPP!!

dancing before God ~~

wow...have you ever danced before God like it was your last dance? Have you ever freely danced before people so crazyly like no one is around? wow...I pray that all churches of Jesus will experience a break through in dancing before God, starting from Impact Harvest Church.

14 days fast and pray @ Impact. We want to first experience a full "PRAISE" attitude. What do I mean by that? oh well...first of all, LET'S DANCE! How come young people are willing to spend so much time and money to go to clubs and rave to dance? Because the devil knows the power behind "dance"! Why did God ask us to dance before Him? There is a wonderful blessing and heavenly release from God in dancing!

Psalms 149:3
"Let them praise his name with dancing and make music to him with tambourine and harp."

Have you ever heard God sing? I'd love to! I'd picture that when God sings He would dance too! Hallelujah!
God sings for us, do you know that?

Zephaniah 3:17
"The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing."

Let's DANCE, the Bride of Jesus.

Thank you, Oishii Sushi Boston.

hmm...the only reason that I'd go back to Boston would be this, Oishii Sushi...yumm...
Thank God for sushi.
love your sushi, Ting-San.

Become a God chaser

It’s the personal victories in the private place that gives you momentum.
David, one young man who has momentum in the secret place comes to the public place, and says to Goliath how dare you defy the name of the living God. At the moment, a shame of a nation is removed. He took his private victories and he allows it to drive it a public confidence. The God he has come to know in the secret place is the God he has come to represent in the public place.

Are you a God chaser? Live a life with these qualities! Impact leaders should...
  • Be Teachable (to God's words - to be able to teach others and also to be taught)
  • Be available (to God's work - make oneself available to God and others business)

  • Be Faithful
  • Be Committed
  • Be Obdient

Jesus Camp - the movie

wow...why didn't we have this DVD when I was 12 or something? Go to your local Blockbuster store and check it out!
This is the generation that will live to receive His second coming, at leaset I believe and pray so. But is the world ready for His coming? Is America ready for radical Christians like the early church believers? Lord, hear our cry; we want Your kingdom come! Let Your love transform us; let Your mercy flow out through us. Let this generation cry out to You; we don't just want revival but we want You the most.
America, oh America...when are you going to receive your King, your Friend and your Lover? Jesus...won't You come; take kingship over this land, we ask. Amen.
Seek His kingdom first, ALL will be added on to you.

Developing leadership skills

Past few months we struggle with our personal growth in leadership skills; I remember sometime ago, two Korean pastors from Harvest Rock Church prayed for me saying that I am going to sail to the deep water. I had some idea what they meant by that, but wasn't quite sure what exactly would happen to me anyway. God surely has His plan in my life. I started to face many personal challenges in pastoring this church. Little did I know, I am sailing to the deep water but I am not very skilled in managing this boat yet. God, You are my guide and help in sailing out to the deep water; hear my cry!

In one of our cell groups, this cell leader came to me asking how to better leader the cell group. I suggested this leader to get to know her cell members first before making any moves. She struggled with her cell group, not sure of what to do with everyone there; thank Jesus that now she found a better solution to her stuggle.

3 simple and major keys to better lead your cell group (of course there are many minor ones).
1. Knowing your sheep before you start managing/shepherding them.
2. Positioning them in the right spots. Max out their potentials!
3. Enjoying success with them.

Maybe your cell memebers are less active, bring them to minister to others. Maybe your cell memebers are more talkative, equip them to teach and share Jesus. We, as cell leaders, won't be frustrated once we find out to whom we are ministering. Again I reminded myself the lesson of leadership based on the discussion with this cell leader.

Sail to the deep water.

a special day - Happy Birthday, Jack!

As matter of fact, I thought I just lived a normal day of my life not thinking about how special it was yesterday, the 7th of June. Teased myself about how much younger I am still, living as a forever 28 years old dude. I truly forgot how old I was when Annie asked me; well...when you pass 28, you won't remember what your age is now..
I am glad that so many friends and my family wished me happy birthday. Thank you all.. :)

When Jesus walked on the earth, He spent 30 years preparing Himself before His time came. My prayer for my birthday is that may God preserve me in purity and passion for Jesus until my time comes.
